Sofie Lynn, Sassoon trained Stylist

I grew up in the Bay Area, where I was lucky enough to experience freedom of self expression and a love for the natural world.  My love of beauty was nurtured through my Dad's affinity for taking us into the woods and my Mom's awareness of the power in self care and personal style. My journey with hair began with her. She loved going to the salon and was never afraid of a unique cut. I was endlessly inspired by the transformation and expression I witnessed in those trips to the salon and, from the time I was young, I knew it was my path to follow. My interest in hair never wavered and I started training as soon as I could, I believe it is my true calling.

In my work I blend 15 years of experience in the professional hair industry with a unique energetic understanding that is all my own.  I weave together my advanced training in precision oriented Sassoon cutting technique with my deep love for sacred beauty rituals. I believe all self care acts should be rooted in health and wellness, and I see hair-care as an especially powerful tool for reclaiming this truth.  After years of working in salons and witnessing this deep transformational experience not being honored in the way I had always dreamed of, I decided to create a private home studio. 

Once I had offered haircuts in this more private and intentional way for several years I felt the pull to learn more. This led me to completing a 12 month long Spirit School program where I trained in energy medicine and worked to get in touch with my spirit and to find empowerment in my purpose.  BeautyWise is the reflection of my gift for using hair appointments to access self love through self care.  In my private studio I am committed to a space that is non toxic, I work with natural product lines and I do not bring any other chemical or artificial smells into the studio. I believe the need and love for adornment and beauty naturally blossoms from a healthy mind, body and spirit.
